This is my very first artist trading card that I made for the
ripple project. A small sketch donation to help the animal victims of the oil spill. I hope to make more. This is such a feel good project to get involved in. I feel honored to participate.
Your ATC makes me feel happy! I'm going to head over and check out the Ripple project. It sounds really interesting...

Hi Kristy!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow Flying Lesson's classmate! I saw your post about creating with young kids in the comments. I feel the same way! I have a 6 1/2 yr old and a 13 month old and often feel like I've run myself ragged throughout the day with not a lot to show for it at the end! One thing that has helped me it to set up a place to paint on our dining room table (I used to use my kitchen table) where I can leave my supplies and project out. My youngest can't reach up there (yet) and my oldest knows not to touch without permission! This way I try to grab a few minutes here and there to work...15 min., 10 min, 20 mins. really adds up!! :) Also, my hubby agree to put the kids to bed once a week by himself to let me have a few hours of uninterrupted creative time. It is still a struggle to fit it all in, but baby steps really do help!!
I love your ATC and the ripple project sounds so neat! I must check it out!! :)
Take care,
Jennifer
Hi agian, Kristy! Thanks so much for you kind comments about my work!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, us creative moms need to stick together! I've been really feeling the need to "bond" with other moms who are on this creative journey, especially ones who want to make a business go of it!
Isn't Kelly's class just amazing!!?? I feel so inspired and encouraged as if she's given me all the tools I need to move forward, but then overwhelmed and fearful at the same time! She does have a great way of understanding and calming my fears, though!! :) I love how she always comes back to that topic. I so need it!
Hope you have a great weekend!!
Jennifer
