Macys Fashion Director

Macys Fashion Director: "

Since I've been laid off from my graphic design job this Macy's fashion challenge has gotten me back into my love of colors and layouts. I am so thankful for that. It is so fun to put things together. This is my outfit for the month of June. The challenge is: Surprise! Your being whisked away for the weekend-what will you throw in your bag? My layout is ranked 15th so far. Give it a try and see if you like doing it as much as I do!

  5. Hi Kristy. I just read your post on flying lessons about being a mom and an artist. I can relate. I really am trying to make my dream of being a mom and an artist with a creative biz from home a reality. I think the info we are learning is so great. Just wanted to let you know I hear you and I am right there with you!

  8. Hi Kristy -

I too am popping over from flying lessons ... wanted to say hi and how what you wrote resonated with me. First I became a mom when so many of friends either had older kids or no kids, so isolation developed there; then we move outside of town; and then i reconnected with my creative side and have struggled to find local community. I have been carving out a niche online in several wonderful groups and have had such support ... so don't give up! It takes time but after a couple of courses or online challenges, it is amazing how connections are made and they can be strong.

I love the feel of your blog and will be back!
    :) lis
